More Porsche Models To Be Unveiled In Geneva

As if unveiling the mighty sounding Porsche 997 GT3 R Hybrid race car at the Geneva Motor Show this month wasn’t enough for Porsche lovers, they will also be revealing two more models at the prestigious show. The new sporty 911 Turbo S and the energy conscious Cayenne S Hybrid will both make their debuts at the show which begins on the 4th March.

The gorgeous new 196mph 911 Turbo S has a 30bhp increase in power on the standard 911 Turbo up to a mighty 530bhp and boasts an acceleration time of 0-62mph in just 3.3 seconds.  Despite the power increase it maintains the same EU combined fuel consumption as the standard Turbo of 24.8mpg and produces 516lb ft of torque.  It has the traditional 6 cylinder boxer engine but is boosted by 2 turbochargers. It also has a 7 speed gearbox and double clutch transmission with steering wheel paddle shift control. Looks-wise the Turbo S will be fitted with centre-lock 19 inch RS Spyder alloy wheels, leather sports seats and cruise control. The coupe goes on sale in the UK in May with a price tag of £123,263. At the same time, a Cabriolet version will also be released with a price of £130,791.

The new Cayenne S Hybrid has been developed in conjunction with the VW Touareg Hybrid and features Audi’s 3 litre V6 supercharged 325bhp petrol engine.  This is complemented with a  38kW electric motor giving a combined bhp of 375. The Cayenne Hybrid boasts 0-62mph in just 6.5 seconds whilst still delivering an impressive 34.5mpg. Despite the smaller 3 litre engine, the Cayenne S Hybrid produces just 20bhp less power than the Cayenne S 4.8 litre V8 model. It also goes on sale to UK customers in May.
