New 2010 Panamera Models To Be
Shown In Beijing
Porsche have announced that two new
Panamera models will be officially unveiled to the public at the
Beijing Motor Show which starts on the 23rd April 2010.
These will be the new two wheel drive Panamera and a four wheel
drive version named Panamera 4. Both the new versions of the 4 door
grand tourer which was originally launched last year as a 4.8 litre
V8 will have a 3.6 litre V6 Direct Fuel Injection engine.

Both models will boast the 3.6 litre V6
engine capable of 300bhp plus a peak torque of 400 Nm/296 lb-ft.
They will feature Porsche’s double clutch gearbox and Auto Start
Stop feature and will be considerably more fuel efficient than the
original V8 model. The two wheel drive Panamera model has combined
fuel figures of 30.4mpg whereas the four wheel drive Panamera 4
will give drivers 29.4mpg. They will be styled with 19 inch wheels
with optimised roll resistance.
They have been manufactured to be
lightweight with aluminium and an aluminium-magnesium composite
used to produce the doors, wings and axles amongst other sections.
The overall weight of the new models will be just 1,730kg’s.
The new models will be released initially
in Germany during May followed by USA and UK releases in June. The
new two wheel drive model will go on sale in the UK with a start
price of £61,461 and the four wheel drive Panamera 4 will retail at
£66,929.
